I started my journey to Milan with a dog at the next seat... He was a bit nervous because it was his first train journey. Four months ago, seeing a dog while shopping or in public places such as the bus or train would sound like something impossible to me, because pets are not allowed into many places in Turkey. Here, having a pet is such a common thing that when I sit in front of the window everyday I see at least 10 people passing the street with their dogs. That is why seeing a section for the pet food even in the cheapest supermarket such as Aldi is possible. However, in Turkey it is more like a luxurious thing since you have to spend lots of money for vaccination or the food. Most of the time families can only afford their children’s education having a dog means you earn more than the average or you leave alone. So now, I am enjoying seeing pets everywhere…
