Have you been a good girl my Child?

This week Santa came to visit our mentor dinner that all the exchange students have with their groups every Tuesdays. It was an interesting experience for me, because it was the first time I saw Father Noel (American version) other than TV. In Turkey, we only celebrate the New Year not the Christmas. Actually I am a bit confused, although the main story is the same it has different names in USA, in UK etc. I guess Sinterklaas is the Dutch version and he has some helpmates called Zwarte Piet. You know, it is a difficult job to carry this huge sack full of gifts and sweets... At night they ride across the rooftops and listen through the chimneys to check the children's behavior and give them presents if they haven’t been naughty. I also wished that I were a child again, just to enjoy that event more. But I can’t imagine what a big disappointment it would be to learn that Santa did not really exist when you grow up!!
