Floating homes

In my first trip to Amsterdam we attended to a canal tour and while we were passing the streets a woman from the loudspeaker was explaining the stories of the buildings, canals etc. Then she said that when there was no enough space in Amsterdam to build some more houses they came up with a creative solution of these boat- houses!! During the canal tour you can see various types of boats all of them having different image; some are even looking like they are made of brick like a real house. When you pass by, you feel like you are still walking in a street. Although these ones in the picture are not houses, I really liked this idea of a boat with the shape of a traditional wooden shoe as well…
